Seven Special is an independent entertainment studio developing original IP across immersive games, genre animation, and feature film.
We're built on decades of Hollywood development experience, augmented by the tools rewriting what production looks like.
We believe the next era of entertainment belongs to studios that can move fast, think in worlds, and bring genuinely new stories to audiences exhausted by franchise retreads and strip-mined IP. And we believe live, interactive experience is a defining part of that future — not a marketing add-on, but a pillar of how people will inhabit the stories they love.
Traditional studios spend $100M+ to greenlight a franchise and another decade proving it works. By the time a world reaches audiences, the cultural moment has passed. Indie studios move fast but rarely have the resources or relationships to build at franchise scale.
Seven Special is built from the other direction: story first, technology as leverage, each vertical designed to stand on its own.
We develop original IP and partner with established publishers, imprints, and creators to bring new and under-appreciated stories through the noise. Each project lives in one or more of three verticals — chosen based on what the story actually calls for, not a one-size-fits-all pipeline.
Games — Immersive, real-time interactive experiences developed as standalone worlds. Games are our fastest path to audience and revenue, and our best tool for proving a universe has legs. We have active projects in development, including a native-VR tower defense game currently in early production.
Animation — A natural home for AI-assisted production. We work with illustrators and creators to establish visual language and style early, then use generative tools to dramatically reduce production costs without sacrificing the art. We develop original animated properties and co-produce with outside creators who have stories worth telling.
Feature Development — We use generative AI to close the gap between idea and sale. Full pre-visualization enters the workflow earlier than ever — giving buyers something to feel before a single frame is shot, and giving our team a smarter path from pitch to greenlight.
Our founder spent over a decade inside the development pipelines of Universal, Columbia, Paramount, and Twentieth Century Fox, building deep relationships with IP holders across publishing, gaming, and creative talent — including Nintendo, PlayStation, Image Comics, Boom! Studios, and many more.
We know how the industry works. We know where it's slow, where it's scared, and where the stories worth telling keep getting passed over.
